The NC Food Innovation Lab is a fee-for-service, cGMP-certified, pilot-scale facility that serves as a catalyst for plant-based foods manufacturing. The 16,000 square-foot space is managed by an experienced support staff that offers guidance and ensures efficiency on every project. Starting with ideation, NCFIL provides a collaborative environment to accelerate research, development and commercialization for entrepreneurs and established companies. Advanced processing technologies include extraction, separation and purification of proteins, oils, flavors and colors; drying; thermal processing; wet processing; microwave processing and drying; multi-mode retort capabilities; and aseptic technology.
